YOUR GUIDE TO LOVING AND GROWING THE LEMON KUSH CANNABIS STRAIN
It’s one thing to enjoy a strain. It’s something completely different to grow it in your own garden. Growing cannabis can take a lot of work, but it all pays off come harvest day. If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at cultivating a delicious and powerful strain, this post is for you. We’re going to look at growing and enjoying Lemon Kush, a cannabis strain with high THC levels that start as a robust little seed.
ENJOYING LEMON KUSH: PRIME TIME KUSH CANNABIS
While it may not have the same kind of flashy names as some newer strains (like “Runtz” or “Wedding Cake”), there’s plenty to love about Lemon Kush. We’ll take a broad look at all the things that make this cross between Master Kush and Lemon Joy a truly superior strain.
FLAVOR AND AROMA
There are plenty of citrus-centric strains out there. Cannabis enthusiasts sort of have a thing for their zesty-sweet flavor profiles, and they’re more familiar to our taste buds than more esoteric strains like diesel fuel. As a result, it takes a particularly special lemon-flavored strain to really stand out.
Fortunately, that’s exactly what you get with Lemon Kush. If you grow this strain, you’ll notice its aroma hitting your nose as soon as you enter your garden after about 4 weeks of flowering. Post-harvest, a container of Lemon Kush can instantly fill a room with its aroma, announcing its presence to the world. Long story short, this is one of the best smelling and tasting lemon strains out there.
THC LEVELS AND EFFECTS
Although most “Kush” strains feature predominantly Indica genetics, that’s not so with this variety. Instead, Lemon Kush is a fairly balanced hybrid cannabis strain. As such, it has a variety of effects. It’s a little bit energizing, and even a few puffs can often lead to a serious giggle fit. It also may be a creative aid, making it a favorite strain among artists and musicians.
You can chalk up many of Lemon Kush’s effects to its THC level. It’s decidedly mid-range THC content means that it’s not likely to overwhelm users. Instead, it imbues them with a warm, happy feeling that emanates through their bodies.
STRAIN GROWING GUIDE: LEMON KUSH FROM SEEDS
Lemon Kush makes a great addition to any cannabis garden. It’s even fairly approachable for newer growers. For one, it can produce great yields on harvest day. For another, it doesn’t take too long to grow, maturing after 8 or 9 weeks in the flower phase. As a hybrid with plenty of indica genetics, it also doesn’t grow particularly tall. This is a hugely useful trait for indoor growers, who often run out of vertical space.
As a Kush strain, Lemon Kush wants to live in an environment that mimics its natural home of Central Asia. As a result, you’ll want to keep it fairly warm (but not too hot). Maintain the temperature in your garden between 72 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, this cultivar doesn’t mind a little bit of humidity, although you shouldn’t let it get above 40% or so during the flowering phase.
